Automated File Processing Environment
Overview
The TargetSmart Automation system supports "lights-out" processing of data files allowing you to self-service your data processing needs.
Using the Automation system can increase efficiency and improve turnaround time for process flows that are repeatable.
Getting Started
Once we have set up Automation jobs for your account then you follow these simple steps to process your data files:
- Prepare your input file
The required layouts for your configured jobs can be found here.
- Submit your file
The file submission page is here. For most purposes, you will simply select the desired job type and browse to the file you want to process. Clicking the "Submit Automation Job" button will upload your file. Our system will begin processing the file.
Depending on the file size and the type of processing, some jobs can take awhile to process. You will receive an email notification when the processing begins.
If there are errors during processing you will receive an error notification email. Our staff will also be notified and we will investigate the issue. If your file has been formatted incorrectly, you will be notified by email so you can reformat and try again.
- Download your processed file
Upon completion you will receive a success notification email. At that point you can download your processed output file using our web based file browser. Your output files will be available in the "automation" directory.
